Providing Youth Services in Indiana
ResCare Residential Program offers home-like residential and group home settings for boys
and girls struggling with behavior problems in the home, at school or
within the community. ResCare staff work to make changes in a child's behavior through structure, counseling, and a
reality-based parenting approach.
Rather than concentrating on a few specific segments of the child's
personality, RCRP seeks to treat the "whole child", utilizing a integrated treatment program that
addresses the mental, emotional, physical and social needs of each child. Adults from all aspects of our residents' care
all work together to assess and care for the needs of our children.
Children admitted to RCRP face challenges including but not limited to:
- Victims of physical abuse, sexual abuse or emotional abuse
- Difficulty functioning in a public school setting
- History of criminal behavior
- Unsafe home environments
- Failed foster placements
- Out of control behavior
- Inappropriate sexual behavior

ResCare offers five different residential facilities available for students providing shelter care and
group home settings.
Our Main Campus and Anderson Woods facilities
target boys ages 13-18. Boys who reside on our main campus located in Greencastle, Indiana can graduate to our Challenger Home
where they gain independent living skills.
Within our Miller-Jones group home, girls ages 6-18 live together and work toward achieving goals within their individualized
success plan. Our 'little guys", ages 6-12, live in the LaViolette Home.

Children come to us through:
- Department of Family and Children
- Probation Departments
- Department of Education
- Parents and Caregivers
Our intensive treatment programs teach young people to become responsible for their own actions and encourage each individual to develop effective means of dealing with unacceptable behavior. Within each child's personal plan we create attainable goals for personal growth and success, while challenging our residents to change the way they make decisions, thereby increasing their chances for future success outside our program.
